A "narrow boat" - ideal for England's narrow canals, tied up just below Windsor Castle. Lots of people looking at the castle, so we skipped it and ate fish and chips instead (Urrrrpp!!!!)

Yukie with Peter Freebody, master boatbuilder, at his yard in Hurley Village about 45 minutes from Heathrow.

Pub crawling near Winchester. Good food, warm beer - but drink enough and you don't notice. Sort of like the Japanese health drink referred to above. Drink lots, feel no pain.

Punting (or being punted) near Cambridge University on the River Cam - that's why they called it Cam Bridge, no doubt.

Yukie with our friends Colin and Eugenie Codrai. They lived in San Jose on assignment with IBM once upon a time. Once upon a time English food had a bad reputation, and the beer was warm. Food is vastly better, and the proper term for the beer is "cellar temperature".
